York Management & Research, Inc.is a private family office which manages the Nicholson family interests in addition to a handful of other families. York's services are not available to the general public.

York originally was formed in 1978 to provide selected institutions and individuals with investment advice and portfolio management utilizing sophisticated tools and advanced computer modeling techniques normally associated with large advisory firms. York believes that such a structured modern portfolio system applied to a moderate size asset base maximizes the opportunity for superior risk adjusted performance.

We are an independent company entirely owned by the Nicholson family. We are not affiliated with any firm in the brokerage business, underwriting, mutual fund, banking or insurance business.
